Ased Ali - Yorkshire Urology & uTI CLINIC

Mr (Dr) Ased Ali is the founder of Yorkshire Urology and is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals. He specialises in the treatment of cystitis, urinary and biofilm infection, incontinence, pelvic floor weakness and urinary symptoms due to bladder problems or neurological conditions.

He qualified from The University of Manchester, with subsequent surgical training in the Northwest of England and Higher Urological training in Yorkshire and Northeast of England. He undertook part of his sub-specialty training in Female Urology and Urogynaecology at Duke University, North Carolina, USA as well as The Centre for Pelvic Floor at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He completed a Royal College of Surgeons approved fellowship in Female Urology and Reconstructive Surgery at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Mr Ali trained as both a surgeon and as a scientist gaining a PhD in Immunology. He has a strong academic interest and has received national funding awards from multiple bodies including the Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust, National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and Wellbeing of Women. He is also a part of the Medical Advisory Panel for Bladder Health UK (the largest UK charity for bladder problems), a trusted expert for Netmums, and serves as President of the Yorkshire and Humberside Urostomy Association.

Mr Ali is a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng), member of the European Association of Urology (EAU), American Urological Association (AUA) and British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) where is also an elected member of the executive committee of the Section of Female, Neurological and Urodynamic Urology.
